Coaching for Authentic Success
I am a qualified and accredited coach with EMCC and a qualified coach supervisor who works with a wide range of people to support them in finding successful approaches for achieving their goals and finding their authentic way of acting and leading.
I have worked with people who are at the very beginning of their careers all the way through to the most senior leaders in businesses, the common thread being creating time for people to reflect on what they want to achieve, building a stronger sense of self and often, a strong understanding of others. Feedback from coaching clients emphasises my ability to quickly understand situations and to promote accountability and real change in thinking patterns and impact.
Employment experience
Much of my belief in the importance in the finding of authenticity in our work careers comes from my own experience of finding myself in the wrong career – for 20 years! I trained as an auditor progressing through director in my ‘first’ career. Whilst I had many times when I enjoyed what I was doing, learned a lot and was able to be successful, looking back I realise that it probably wasn’t the right route for me for a lot of that 20 years. I was fortunate to qualify as a coach, NLP practitioner and learnt to facilitate whilst being an auditor which was an absolute blessing for me. Learning these skills in this environment equipped her with the ability to work in hierarchical environments where coaching isn’t necessarily a natural approach.
I now have a wide-ranging career focussed on people and behaviours, working as a coach, trainer and facilitator with a wide range of organisations from individuals to small local businesses to large global organisations. I also work in governance roles, supporting not for profit organisations and with a Non-Executive career that includes having recently been the Chair of a housing association.
I hope to have completed my Masters in psychology this year.
What can you expect from coaching with me?
My coaching style
My coaching style is warm and supportive whilst being highly impactful. I create a safe and friendly space which then allows for challenge and exploration with a strong focus on accountability and commitment. I create a space for individual insight without judgment, playing to the strengths of your own style and preference.
My goal is to always help you meet your own objectives in a truly authentic way. My authentic style draws on building a strong rapport drawing on humour and empathy to really explore your core beliefs and values in a space that whilst deeply challenging is also supportive and encouraging.
I draw on various coaching approaches including positive psychology (thinking about how to leverage strengths) and holistic thinking, ensuring that all your many facets are taken account of in goal setting and action.
I include an understanding of neurodiversity and mental wellbeing into my practice, where appropriate, in response to the changing environments we all operate in and the increasing understanding of what makes us human.
I have worked on a wide range of coaching assignments including leadership development programmes, transition to new roles and coaching for programmes promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
My own varied career allows me to understand a wide range of scenarios and different approaches and business cultures, including internationally – my style allows me to quickly get to grips with any challenge regardless of the industries involved.
My focus is always about finding ways to succeed whilst remaining authentic, whether it’s career progression, re-direction or focussing on being the best person you can be where you are.
"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we're supposed to be and embracing who we are."
